Welcome to the 2011 Military Police National Motorcycle Relay Ride...
Good day, I am Paul Grantham, the National Chairman for the 3rd Annual, 2011, Military Police National Motorcycle Relay Ride. I would like to start by saying THANK YOU to everyone who participated and donated to this years ride. As of now, we have raised over $30,000.00 which will be donated evenly between the Military Police Fund for Blind Children and The Children's Wish Foundation of Canada. Most importantly I would like to thank all the volunteers and my fantastic committee. You guys did a great job and I am very proud to have been a part of this team. Hope to see everyone back for next years adventure.

Ride Schedule
16 July 2011 (Opening Ceremony)
St John's NL will host a one day ride around the St John's area with a small function afterward.

CFB Halifax, NS, and CFB Gagetown, NB, riders will depart their respective bases, merge onto PEI for an overnight event and return to their respective bases, 17 July 2011.
23 July 2011
CFB Valcartier, QC, riders will depart and travel a day route to 3 Wing Bagotville, where an evening function will take place. 24 July 2011, riders will be free to drive back to their respective locations.
30 July 2011
Mackie Harley Davidson, Oshawa will be the official Stating point for this years event which is incorporating a poker run. A contingent of riders will leave 8 Wing Trenton, ON, on the 30th at 0800 hrs, departing from the main parade square and make their way to the starting point at Mackie Harley Davidson, Oshawa, ON. The Poker run will incorporate the Highway of Heroes’, and a scenic tour of the Picton County, ON, ultimately finishing in 8 Wing Trenton, where a reception will take place along with a BBQ, 50/50 draws, prizes, etc will be held.

CFB Edmonton, AB is the starting point for the Alberta ride and will travel to 4 Wing Cold Lake, and finishing in St Albert where a function will be held at the Crown and Tower Pub.

Lamont French will be starting the BC portion of the ride, in Jasper AB, travelling to Kamloops BC for an overnight event. They will depart Kamloops BC and finish in Vancouver BC before traveling to Vancouver Island on 21 August 2011. Click to view the Press Release for the BC portion

CFB Shilo, MB, will be hosting an overnight ride in and around the Brandon and Winnipeg area to the SK border. Afterward an event will be held.
27 August 2011 (Closing Ceremony)
CFB Esquimalt, BC, will be the start of the final leg for the 2011, MPNMRR. It will continue to 19 Wing Comox, BC, where there will be a
closing of ceremonies.

History
En 2009, le Sergeant Mark Farrer, un membre à la retraite de la police militaire des Forces canadiennes, a instauré la Course nationale de relais à moto de la Police militaire qui demande à ses participants de sillonner les routes du Canada d’un océan à l’autre, dans le but d’amasser des fonds pour une cause louable puis d’y joindre un peu d’agrément.
This Year
Paul Grantham, président national CNRMPM et son comité sont à planifier la randonnée annuelle en soutien au Fonds de la Police Militaire Pour les Enfants Aveugles et La Fondation Rêves d’enfants. Cette année, la 3e Course nationale partira de St-Jean, Terre-Neuve pour arriver à Comox, Colombie-Britannique. Afin de maximiser la participation, la course se déroulera en étapes provinciales, lors de fins de semaine consécutives entre le 09 juillet 2011 et le 27 août 2011.
Québec
L’étape du Québec de la 3e Course nationale se déroulera au cours de la fin de semaine des 23-24 juillet 2011. Le départ se fera le 23 juillet de la base militaire de Valcartier au nord de la ville de Québec, et se terminera au Saguenay à la base militaire de Bagotville. Le lendemain sera le retour à la région de Québec pour les participants.
Cette année, nous avons choisi la Fondation Rêves d’enfants comme deuxième bénéficiaire, vu l’objectif commun d’assistance aux enfants les sommes amassées seront divisées également et distribuées aux Fonds des Enfants Aveugles de la Police Militaire et à la Fondation Rêves d’enfants du Canada.
La Fondation Rêves d'enfants
Chaque année, des milliers d'enfants canadiens, âgés de 3 à 17 ans, sont diagnostiqués avec une maladie menaçant la vie. Fondée en 1984, la Fondation Rêves d'enfants a pour mission de réaliser les rêves d'enfants atteints de maladies qui menacent leur vie. Elle s'est donnée comme objectif de ne jamais refuser un enfant admissible. Depuis ses débuts, Rêves d'enfants a réalisé plus de 16 000 rêves à travers le Canada. Avec l'aide de bénévoles, et de généreux donateurs, la fondation accorde presque 3 rêves par jour. Chaque rêve représente une aventure en elle-même, et est soigneusement planifié pour satisfaire les besoins d'un enfant en particulier. BC Ride
BC Leg #1
Day one will start on Thurs, 18 Aug 11 with a Meet and Greet in Jasper AB that evening, at the Royal Canadian Legion. On Fri, 19 Aug 11, we depart Jasper and enjoy the ride thru the beautiful Rocky Mountains, overnighting in Kamloops. Sat, 20 Aug 11, we are on the road again this time taking in all the sights thru Whistler and the Sea to Sky Highway, with that night staying in Vancouver's Inner Harbour at Historical HMCS Discovery. Sunday, 21 Aug 11, sees us traveling to the Olympic Flame then onto the BC Highway of Heroes, where we travel the unknown Hwy 0 back to Tsawwassen, then enjoy a relaxing ferry ride to Vancouver Island ending up at the BC Legislative Grounds that evening.
BC Leg #2
Sat, 27 Aug 11, sees attending a Silent Auction at CFB Esquimalt, just prior to being escorted out of the city and up beautiful Vancouver Island by Victoria Police, with a stop in Parksville and Qualicum Beach before following the scenic shoreline all the way to the Comox Valley and 19 Wing Comox. A final congratulatory function recognizing the completion of the ride, with a Silent Auction will be the end of a great adventure, and fund raising which started in St John's NL, back in July.
